FREEMASONS HALL FUNDRAISING UPDATE - $100,000 LEFT TO GO |
|
As of January 12, 2008 the Capital Campaign of the FREEMASONS HALL currently stands at $413,041 of the original $500,000 goal. Entering the new year 2008 and breaking the $400,000 mark is a significant achievement for the Capital Campaign and the fraternity as a whole.

Freemasons Hall Construction Update |
|
Unusually severe weather condition since late November, combined with a shortage of Trades People, has resulted in a moderate slippage in the Construction Schedule. As of today’s date I feel reasonably comfortable in stating that the bulk of the work will be finished by the end of the second week in March, 2008.
A small amount of landscaping, parking lot line painting and some exterior paint finishing on the building will have to wait for suitable weather in the spring.

On Thursday November 29, 2007 the Honourary Patron of the Capital Fundraising Committee, His Honour. The Lt. Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, Bro. Edward Roberts held a reception at Government House in St. Johns to recognize corporate donors as well as the progress made towards reaching the fundraising goal of $500,000.

The Grand Lodge of Newfoundland and Labrador makes presentation to Freemasons’ Hall Project |

On Tuesday November 6th 2007 the Grand Lodge of Newfoundland and Labrador presented a cheque in the amount of $100,000 to the Freemasons Hall project. The amount represents a portion of $150,000 committed to the project by the Grand Lodge and is in the form of a low cost loan. |
